Message from the Fourth Grade Teachers

Welcome to our 4th Grade Webpage.

Jaguar Pride Assemblies

Every month John Newbery Elementary honors our students at our Jaguar Pride assembly on Thursdays at 1:15.  Refer to our school calendar for the specific dates each month.

Multiplication Facts

Please encourage your child to spend at least 10 minutes practicing multiplication facts through 10s.  Check out the math websites on Newbery’s Homepage under Classroom Pages/K-5 Interactive Math Sites for additional practice opportunities.  Triangles for Multiplication are a great practice tool.

Volunteer Information

Remember, in order to volunteer at Newbery, you need to complete the Volunteer Application.  You'll need to bring the form in to the office along with your driver's license.

Morning Supervision

Our morning supervision begins 15 minutes prior to school starting (9:05 Monday, 8:35 Tuesday-Fridays).  There is no supervision and no students should be arriving (except for the breakfast crowd) and/or playing outside prior to those times  All students who arrive earlier than these times will go into the cafeteria for supervision.  They will be dismissed outside once supervision arrives.

Read-In

Every Friday morning from 8:05-8:35 we have a school wide Read-In.  You are invited to come join your child any Friday.

The Fourth grade teachers,

Mrs. Baker

Mrs. Dilley
