         About me . . .
   I have been teaching at John Newbery since it opened in the fall of 1993. I taught K/1 for 6 years, and looped in 2nd and 3rd grade for 8 years. I'm now teaching just 3rd grade. I have a grown son, who's student teaching this fall, and a daughter, who is a nurse. I have one granddaughter, who's 10. My husband was also a teacher before he passed away. Teaching runs in our family! I enjoy the challenges and rewards of teaching. I like the constant change of activities. I've learned so much myself over the past few years. The art of discovery is wonderful!!! I know I'll continue to learn and grow. Isn't that what life's all about anyway?
