Learning Improvement Team

The Learning Improvement Team (LIT) is responsible for making strategic and operational decisions and recommendations at the building level. Their primary goal is to improve learning and teaching through shared decision making and the Continuous Improvement Planning Process. Their focus is on student learning results.

Membership

The LIT membership is made up of staff and parent representatives.

Responsibilities

  • Address alignment of program design and instructional processes with building and district goals
  • Class mix remedies
  • Learning Improvement Day activities
  • Discipline and citizenship plans
  • Review building budget planning
  • Review use of paraprofessional resources
  • Create a democratic representation system for all employees

Meetings

The LIT meets regularly in open meetings.  Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month from 2:40-4:00.
