A Pathfinder for 3rd Grade

Native Americans, the first people in America, were here long before Columbus and the other early European explorers. These native people, also known as American Indians, formed many nations and spoke hundreds of different languages. They lived in major cultural areas: Northwest, California-Intermountain, Plains, Eastern Woodlands, Southwest, Great Basin, Plateau and Northeast.

To learn more about Native Americans, follow the links on this pathfinder. It will help you find information in your school library media center, on the Internet, and in the community about the Native Americans.
